Elegoo Centauri Carbon Runout Sensor Relocation Mount

A simple mount for relocation of the runout sensor on an Elegoo Centauri Carbon printer. The example in the photo is PETG. I recommend Elegoo Rapid PETG, particularly when printing functional printer parts on the Centauri Carbon. PETG offers better heat resistance than standard PLA, higher impact resistance, and is also easy to use with the Elegoo print profile on the Centauri Carbon.

This model is designed for heat-set inserts. If you have never done heat-set inserts before, you will need the following to get started:

• Soldering Iron - I use the Yihua 939D+
• Heat-set Insert Tool/Tips - This set is compatible with the 939D+
• Threaded Inserts, like this Brass Threaded Inserts Assortment Kit

If you don't want a more expensive DC soldering iron similar to the Yihua mentioned above, and want an all-inclusive and inexpensive way to get started, this kit will work just fine.

There are heat-set presses to help guide threaded inserts into your print. They typically include tips and the soldering iron, like the ones mentioned above. These are nice to have, but not required.
