Description
The spool roller that comes with the Prusa mini is clever and low material. But it is a hassle to change the width if you use another brand of filament. Being a welder I made an iron stand to hold two spools.
All the other parts are printed. First the needles in the bearings were made out of steel. But that gave an unpleasant sound and I did not want to grease them. Now, the printed needles are silent and work well, although I wonder if they really turn that much ;)
I do not expect anyone to copy this project because of the welding involved. But for those who are interested, the Freecad file is here to see how it’s done.
