Description
This lunging model has been in my backlog for a while and I finally decided to do something with it. As is tradition lately I created a few different poses so there are 5 different versions of this creature. I'm planning to run it as a third and final phase of Sangzor in Curse of Strahd but it could be a neat generic demon instead of a mini-boss. A "Huge" version could also be pretty terrifying.
The AI output had some sharper claws and horns but lots of artifacts and stringy bits so I had to remove a lot and convert the model towards -X/X symmetry. For the model I followed my usual process but tried not to dull the sharp edges so much and then did posing after almost all of the sculpting was done. The most time consuming part of this work was optimizing for print and setting up to go onto the baseplates. I've labelled them with the corresponding names but as you can imagine these won't fit on a regular "flat" baseplate so I had to add rocks to support them. If I were to do this model again I think I would have made the horns, claws and teeth separate meshes then joined them back in to keep them sharp - I think I still need to work on my hooves but this is an improvement from my horses I made not too long ago so we definitely have progress.
For the models here is a brief description of each:
For printing I'm doing a test print now with them on their backs with thin tree supports. I'll post the photos once they're done and after I've cleaned up the supports.
Thanks as always for following along and hope you all enjoy the models!
I'm on a quest to make 1000 free DND/TTRPG miniatures. These are models 528 to 532. See my other models and progress on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/Adamnant
