I recently purchased a Sunlu FC01 Filament Connector to splice filament remnants onto new filament spools. This model was created to trim the filament ends with uniform, matching 45 degree cuts.
A single edge razor blade is used for the cutter; always be careful when working with sharp tools, and store the jig out of reach of children and animals.
Parts Required:
- One single-edge razor blade
Printing Notes:
- PLA works fine for this model.
- Print using 0.15mm layer height, structural, 15% infill.
- Supports are not required.
- Please DO NOT use the .bgcode file that has been provided (always slice your own files for your specific printer, filament, environment, etc.). The files were only included to provide a reference for approximate print time.
Miscellaneous Notes/Comments:
- When trimming the filament ends, place the cutting jig on a firm surface, as a fair amount of force is required when pressing the blade through the filaments.
