Description
This is basically the same as the original, but includes a cutout in the door for the X-axis motor cable strain relief, and better aesthetics.
Previously, either the heatbed or X-axis cable had to run through the bottom of the case and was not strain relieved. The rear strain relief is for the heatbed, and the door strain relief is for the X-axis.
I've also included mirrored parts for the door hinges and heatbed strain relief that are not in the original files.
To install you need:
Before starting, raise your X axis to the stops. You will need plenty of room to clear the door when assembling and turning the rods by hand is a pain.
I recommend mounting the RPi to the box, then the box to the frame, then the Einsy board. See pictures for how I ran the cabling. Use a ziptie to clear the cables from the GPIO header so vibrations don't damage any insulation and create a short. I put some adhesive felt onto the extrusion behind the box to prevent printer vibration creating noise.
Print using a 0.2mm preset in PETG.
7-July 25 Update: added a version of the door with a cutout for a Cherry-sized keyboard switch. I mounted this as a power on/off button for the RaspberryPi.
