Description
Wanted to spice up my plague doctor costume with something that I wouldn’t get arrested for, this revolver clearly would not function in our mundane world.
Requires:
The crystal is made from epoxy mixed with a bit of green paint. Unfortunately, the mould did not survive taking it out. It was stuck, and required a lot of work to remove. Hope it works better for anyone else attempting it. Use mould release if you can.
The crystal is held in place by a piece of 3mm thick of plexiglass i had laying around. Careful cutting it to a fitting shape, it tends to melt or crack.
Heated M3 inserts and screws, to put on the grips on without wearing down the plastic.
The lights are torn out of 2 cheap electric tea light fake candles (sold in sets of 3 for €0,83 at Action). Connecting 2 LED's underneath the crystal. The light should reflect trough the plexiglass into the crystal. LED's are wired in series with some extra wires to a hole that stores 2 batteries under the grips. Screwing the grips in place just putting the wires against it will keep them running. There is no switch, you'll need to unscrew the grip again.
