Nollie16 PC RGB connector mod

The now fully adopted PC RGB connector standard is easy to damage and the pins are way too loose. If no big name corporation dare to change this fact, i guess it's up to us to fix the problem for our selves. 

Some things you'll need:

Nollie 16 RGB controller: Aliexpress store or Official website.

4 pin JST XH-AW 2.54mm pitch right angle connectors

RGB connectors are 3 pin, so pull the correct pin out of the 4 pin JST-XH connector with a set of pliers before soldering it to the board.

And if the wires to your devices are not long enough to reach the RGB controller i recommend making extension adapters with the these 3 pin connectors.

The print is a sandwich design consisting of 3 layers held together by 12mm m2 hex socket bolts. The bolts screw into m2 (3.6 x 3mm) heat inserts.

One last thing i need to mention is the new connectors are wider than the original ones. So the the 4 connectors on the very ends of the PCB are going to overlap the bolt holes by a tiny bit, so some clearancing is needed. I just ran a 2mm drill through the holes of the PCB to take a little material off of the connector housings.
