Description

A film holder for scanning 127 format roll-film (46mm wide) on an Epson V800-V850-V700-V750 scanner. It holds the film flat at 3mm above the glass. Tight fitting clips hold the film flat for accurate scanning.

It's sized to just fit on the Core One printbed. The clips will have to be printed separately (I guess you could print many of them nestled in the middle of the model, but there are some too large for that).  The top clips do most of the work of holding the film flat. They are a little springy and clip into place.

The bottom clips fit into a faint V shaped channel under the film and may not be needed if  your film stays flat using the top clips.

To use it, place the film in the carrier and the top clips over the film. Snap them in (don't do this directly on the Epson as you may break the glass). Now align the arrow in the corner with the arrow on the Epson's flatbed. Put the skinny clips under the film (between frames) if needed.

I recommend PETG for this but I have printed it just fine with PLA as well. Let it cool down slowly to prevent warping.

You'll need several copies of the clips. I like having 2 copies of each of the top clips and 4 copies of the little sticks that go under the film.

note: 7.25.25 - I've improved the action of the clips so they are easier to use but snap  in with a little flex.
