Description
The Skadis Universal Mounting System (SUMS) is build upon the IKEA Skadis mounting board and used a standardized peg system. With this system, you can use 1 type of peg to attach various types of attachments. If an attachment is no longer needed or has gotten a new design, you can re-use the pegs in order to save some plastic. This also makes printing the attachments easier because it's not necessary to include a peg in the design.

The pegs are designed in such a way that they have a tight fit with the board, and use as standardized dimensions as possible. Following the simple design-principes of the IKEA Skadis system.
Update 2025-11-05: New version of the Pegs, the pegs (and also the models) are more rounded to reduce weak points at the corners. The stem is also a bit less high so it's a bit easier to insert them in the Skadis board. IMPORTANT: the old pegs will not fit in the newer designs, unless you cut the sides a bit. Make sure to use version 2 of the pegs for the SUMS-designs. The new pegs are backwards compatible with version-1 designs. |
You can print the pegs upside down without support. The pegs may have a tight fit with the printed attachments, but this is by design. You can press them in by force.
You can use your own preferred settings, but mine are printed in PLA with 20% infill, two walls and 0.2mm STRUCTURAL preset on my Prusa MK4S.
The Fusion 360 files are attached so you can build your own attachments upon this system. You can find the files for the pegs, and several mounting plates in this model.
Make sure to remix this model to inspire others and me with your creativity.

A single peg can be used for the single plate-attachments. But if you create a wider or higher attachment you can use more single pegs for the same attachment. Various presets have been provided as Fusion 360 models:
