This print-in-place box with an insert for a ring is the perfect container for the maker to show their love.

Want the heart on it? Print it as-is, and you will get a subtle heart design.
Want it plain? slice off the bottom layer and you'll get a flat bottom.

The tolerance on the print in place is large enough that even a scaled down version should print quite well. The only thing to be weary of are the 45 degree overhangs on the hinges that require a fair amount of cooling, so keep it cool.

The printed insert allows you to attach a ring to stand up within the box for maximum presentation value! Inside height of 35 mm should accommodate most rings with no or moderate sized stones.

Edit: 

Tolerance on the hinge for the standard model is 0.5 mm, which leaves a loose hinge on a well tuned printer.

I added a separate model for a box without the heart inset, to avoid having to slice the bottom layer. I also added two more models for 0.3 mm and 0.2 mm tolerances if you want a hinge that sticks a bit more.
