Description
General:
Make your point in style
Why I designed this:
I designed this at my wife's request after she saw a hilarious video on Instagram of someone walking around the house and tapping at annoyances like laundry on the floor, hair in the sink, toilet seat up, etc… with increasing insistence.
Printing notes:
Layer height: .15 or finer is ideal
Recommended Material: PLA gets loose quickly, so ABS is a better option if you’re doing a lot of heavy duty pointing.
Supports: None
Infill: 15% Gyroid or rectilinear
Walls: 2-3
Other Modifiers: Print as oriented
I printed from PLA on Qidi plus4 at .15 layer height with 15% gyroid infill.
Other Notes:
It may take a little working in to get smooth operation, depending on your printer. a bit of dry lube like graphite helps.
Insert the small arm small end first through the large arm. Glue the hand to the small arm, then glue the end cap on.
Update 7-12-25
I've added a .STP file for creating custom V1 arm lengths.
Update 7-13-25
I've added a “NSFW” version of the hand by request. This can be found in the “Extras” folder.
I also noticed that with versions printed on my better printers, the arm doesn't stay extended well, so I've added a draft to the end in V3 which takes up any slop and should give it more useful lifespan.
Update 7-25-25
Added calibration prints for V3.
