Description

This is an LED mount to give the power button of the Kolink Rocket the ability to work with Asus Aura/Gigabyte Aorus RGB Fusion.

Therefore, I removed the white pre-installed LEDs, which where just glued on and then installed my printed LED mount.

You need:

  • 1x 5mm Red LED
  • 1x 5mm Green LED
  • 1x 5mm Blue LED
  • 2x 360 Ohms resistor
  • 1x 220 Ohms resistor
  • some wire
  • soldering iron
  • transparent filament

The LEDs, that I used already have a resistor build in. They are rated for 5V, so the resistors recommended above are choosen based on this.

The 220 Ohms resistor is for the red LED, because the brightness of mine was quite low, so I choose a lower resistor to give it a little more power.

To use these LEDs with Asus Aura, you need to solder the three + legs of the LEDs together and connect them to the V+ port of the RGB header.

The - legs of the LEDs get connected to a resistor each and will then be connected to the specified color port of the RGB header.

The center drilling of this model is used for the power switch cable,

the three drillings off-center for the LEDs.

If you have further questions, feel free to ask.

Notes:

Print this standing up with the hemisphere touching the build plate.

Support would not be needed, but with some slicers you will get an error because the center drilling won't touch the build plate -> support only touching build plate.
