Description
I did a Skull Flyer model so of course I had to do a Flame Skull model as well. For this I had to relearn how to do flames and this quick video was there to the rescue: https://youtu.be/3m0JkeK4m8E
The thing I love about this method is that when you copy a flame and shift it over it changes slightly due to its distance to the Empty object that controls its randomization and so you get slightly different patterns fairly consistently. I do wish I had had more curve to the flames but these were quick models so I'll settle for this aesthetic for now.
For FDM you can use minimal supports and tilt them back slightly (-30 to -40 on the X-Axis). Resin should be fine with automatic supports. These use the same flying base as the skill fliers and I'm pretty happy with it.
