Description
This frame and cap swap lets you create custom Kumiko patterns over the top of the pump block of your Corsair Titan AIO. Each little pattern module press fits into the frame snugly, and the frame presses into the capswap. Then simply install the capswap on top. Standard single-piece frames with popular Kumiko patterns are also included if you don't want to mess with the little pieces. STEP files have also been included incase you'd like to more easily make modifications or to use them as a jumping off point for your own patterns!
I printed mine with a .6 nozzle for speed of testing and then a set with a .4 nozzle to check that a common nozzle size would make parts that fit snugly.
.4mm nozzle
.2 layer height should be fine.
3 walls
0% infill
No supports necessary
Unless you have sticking issues with thin parts, no brim is necessary.
Grey filament shown is DIY recycled PLA from various vendors, but mostly bambulab PLA basic. Or if there is another color, it is bambulab basic PLA for aesthetic shots. This is a contest piece after all.
The individual module pieces can be pressed fit into the frames by hand. The fit is very tight. This is by design. Otherwise the pieces may fall out when installing the capswap onto your Titan. You may need to do a little tuning if the fit isn't very snug when installing them.
Once the frame is assembled, or if you choose to print one of the solid frames, you can then press that into the Capswap cutout. The fit will be a little tight here also, again by design. Be sure to press only on the solid parts of the frame to avoid popping out your modules during this step!
It is even easier to create your own solid frames by combining modules in the frame in your slicer! Steps in the photos for Orca slicer show how to combine multiple modules into one piece. Just place the modules in the frame in your slicer so they fit inside the square holes of the empty frame, then select all the pieces in your frame as well as the frame, right click and select “Assemble”. Your slicer will now slice them as if they were one piece! This works in Prusa Slicer, Bambu Studio, and Orca Slicer. I am under the impression that there is a way to do it in Cura also.
Take a photo of your installed Kumiko Capswap and upload a make! Show us just how beautiful that rig you built is with all that glorious RGB.
