Description
These parts can be used to repair a 4-port hummingbird feeder. This opening for the feeder's glass tube is ~3 in (76 mm) diameter; ; the nectar tray upon which the top sits is ~5.6 in (142 mm) diameter.
The original plastic parts weaken over time due to sun exposure, particularly here in southern California. The original perch can also be damaged due to mishandling when cleaning the feeder and changing water, or due to the weight of larger birds that may feed on sugar water, such as orioles and warblers.
The feeding ports are 7.825 mm diameter, which fit the optional (commercially available) yellow bee guards shown in one of the photos. While these guards do prevent bees from getting into the feeders, they also prevent orioles and warblers from feeding too.
The parts were printed in PETG at 0.2mm structural and default slicer settings. Supports are needed for the perch, but not for the top if oriented for printing.
