What u need:
tools:
- sandpaper k120-240
- metal-cutting saw or a pipe cutter (custom poles only)
- pipe deburring tool (optional, custom poles only)
- grinding fleece (optional, only for polishing, custom poles only)
metal parts:
- screw & nut M3x18 (6pcs for each STIFFENING.stl)
- hex-screw and nut M4x16 (1pcs for each BRAKE.stl
note: u need a lot of m3x18 screws, at least 200+ for a complete tent …sry for this ;)
how to assemble: (some important notes only, pn me if u get in trouble)
the pole-hole(s):
- insert m3 nuts in the inside
- insert inlay (make sure it fits well)
the brake:
- pull in M4 hex.screw into KNOB.stl
- use a longer M4 screw to pull in M4 nut to BRAKE.stl
- screw in KNOB.stl (the screw should be flush with the nut)
- insert STAMP.stl into BRAKE.stl
- insert M3 nuts
- insert BRAKE_TPU_INLAY (make sure it fits well)
preparation of poles:
(the rods have a burr at the end, both the original steel rods and the aluminum rods after they've been shortened. It's important for the function that this burr is removed)
- cut your pole
- remove the burr with a pipe deburring tool (optional)
- sand it until there is no remaining burr
- use grinding fleece to make all smooth and shiny
other important things:
- if u have issues while inserting poles like this:
- use POLE_INSERT_HELPER
- press it onto the opening while inserting the pole, u will hear a “klick” if the pole is in place
rod locking:
- while building u have to lock your poles by insertig screws in the backside of STIFFENING.stl
- tighten them not to strong, they will do their work
the lift:
- tightenig the KNOB.stl comlete to keep yor lift in place, tested with 24kg
- ensure the bottom POLE_HOLE has neither nuts nor a inlay inserted
