For those of us who hold this show close, this one’s for you.
I bought the Thunder Morpher second-hand, but the Navy Thunder disk was long gone. So I decided to model both disks myself — the Crimson Thunder disk is based on the original Bandai toy, and the Navy Thunder disk was recreated using reference photos.
Both disks are designed to sit snugly on the original morpher. I chose not to recreate the original clip mechanism, since the plastic on these toys is over 20 years old and I didn’t want to risk damaging it. The disks stay on securely through friction fit — in my testing, they don’t come off unless you deliberately pry them off. If it's too loose it might be worth scaling it down very slightly, although I've printed 5 of these now during my development and had no issues.
If you run into any issues, feel free to reach out. If you print it, I’d love to see it alongside the rest of your Power Rangers collection!
