Pen Ball Strapping Insert

The pen ball is a great adaptive tool for most people. I encountered a person who needed the benefits of a pen ball and a stylus, but they couldn't keep the grasp. By adding an insert for strapping, we can attach it to the person's hand. Allowing them to focus using the tool rather than focusing on holding the tool.

PARTS:

• 1 Small Pen Ball - Standard Size Hole
• 3 M4*20mm and M4 Nuts 
  • (or M4*.70)
• 1' of ½" Velcro or Other ½" Strapping material
• 1 Stylus

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Print out the Small Pen Ball with the standard size hole & the insert provided by this model.
2. Follow the assembly guide provided by Makers Making Change. The only adaption is adding the insert in between the two halves in Step 3 of the instructions.
3. Feed the Velcro/Strapping material through the Tri-glide buckles on each side. I placed a stitch on the attachment side to prevent it from slipping out. I also stitched a reversed piece of Velcro on the adjustable end, this allows the end to be secured down.
4. Done!   

Note: the stylus requires contact with the person to function properly. I removed the plastic end of the stylus and rounded the raw metal edge. I have it sticking slightly above the ball's diameter to make contact with their hand.
