Description

7/9/25 - A small oversight in the design prevents the UPS from being able to slide through the brackets because of the feet/pads on the bottom of the UPS. A revision is coming soon that allows some space on either side to clear the feet, allowing the brackets to remain installed whenever removing the UPS.

---

This will hold the Goldenmate 1000VA/600W UPS securely underneath your desk (or wall mounted). The design is split into two pieces - the main body and a retainer bracket that secures the UPS in place. The mounting holes are designed for #8 wood screws.

Print two pairs of parts for one UPS mount. Print as oriented with no supports, at least 4 walls, 4-5 top/bottom layers, and at least 25% infill.

You will the following hardware:

  • 8x M3 heat inserts
  • 8x M3x8 BHCS
  • 4x #8 wood screws of an appropriate length for your desk thickness

Assembly:

  1. Use a soldering iron to insert all the M3 heat inserts into both main brackets.
  2. Secure one retaining ring to one of the main brackets (note the orientation).
  3. Slide the bracket onto one end of the UPS and use it as a guide to place it where you want it. Mark the holes, remove the UPS temporarily, then install the first bracket with two #8 wood screws.
  4. Assemble the other bracket on the opposite side of the UPS, slide the UPS into the mounted bracket, and follow the same process as step 3.
  5. To insert or remove the UPS, unscrew one of the retaining rings from the bracket, slide the UPS in, then reattach the retaining ring.
