The latches on my Werckmann assortment boxes are broken. And as the boxes are otherwise still great, I thought I'd print myself a replacement. They contain my printer accessories and spare parts, for example.
This is a replacement latch for assortment or organizer boxes, which are available in various sizes. I only have the small box, which measures 15.6 x 22.8 x 5.8 cm.
However, the latch should also fit the other variants in the set.
To quickly determine whether the latch could also fit your box, it has a width of 41.8 mm.
These boxes are sold under various brand names, such as KENDO. My box is labeled with the brand name Werckmann, with the addition Professional Tools.
In Germany, for example, the DIY store hagebau offers an overpriced set.
The lid and the base are made of PP plastic, but the closure is made of a different plastic.
In my case, the latch simply broke after a few years (3 to 6 years) with normal use. The material from which the closure is made became very brittle over the years, even though the box was virtually never exposed to the sun.
Because the boxes themselves are made of PP plastic, they are very robust.
However, the delivered product quality of my boxes could have been better.
I recommend removing burrs from the edges. The axle of the closure is also injection molded and not exactly round in my case.
Here, too, it is advisable to remove any burrs for the first time. If the axle is round, then the latch can also be opened and closed smoothly. This can easily be improved with a small file tool.

Die Rast-Verschlüsse meiner Werckmann-Sortimentskästen sind gebrochen. Und da die Boxen ansonsten noch super sind, dachte ich mir, dann drucke mir einen Ersatz.
In den Boxen habe ich z.B. mein Drucker-Zuberhör und -Ersatzteile einsortiert.
Es ist ein Ersatz-Verschluss für Sortimentskästen, bzw. Organizer Box, die in verschieden Größen angeboten werden. Ich habe nur die kleine Box, mit den Maßen 15.6 x 22.8 x 5.8 cm.
Der Verschluss sollte aber auch bei den andern Varianten aus dem Set passen.
Um schnell abschätzen zu können, ob der Verschluss auch bei deiner Box passen könnte, die Breite beträgt 41,8 mm.
Im Handel werden diese unter den verschiedensten Handelsmarkennamen angeboten, wie KENDO. Meine Box ist gekennzeichnet mit dem Markennamen Werckmann, mit dem Zusatz Professional Tools.
In Deutschland bietet z.B. der Baumarkt hagebau ein überteuertes Set an.
Der Deckel und das Unterteil ist aus PP-Kunststoff, der Verschluss ist jedoch aus einem anderen Kunststoff.
Bei mir zerbrach der Rast-Verschluß einfach nach einigen Jahren (3 bis 6 Jahren), bei normaler Benutzung. Das Material aus dem der Verschluss besteht, wurde mit den Jahren sehr spröde, obwohl die Box kaum der Sonne ausgesetzt war.
Die Boxen ansich sind, da aus PP-Kunststoff hergestellt und damit sehr robust.
Die gelieferte Produktqualität meiner Boxen hätte jedoch besser sein könnten.
Ich empfehle ggf. an den Kanten vorhandenen Kunststoff-Grat zu entfernen. Die Achse vom Verschluß ist halt auch im Spritzgussverfahren hergestellt und bei mir nicht exakt rund.
Auch hier empfiehlt es sich, erstmalig eventuell vorhandenen Grat zu entfernen. Ist die Achse rund, dann läßt sich auch der Rast-Verschluss gleichmäßig Öffnen und Schießen. Mit einer kleinen Feile nachgearbeitet, kann man dies leicht verbessern.
