Description
The Axolotl is a paedomorphic salamander, maturing without undergoing metamorphosis into the terrestrial adult form; adults remain fully aquatic with obvious external gills. This model was created as an engaging outreach tool to highlight biodiversity and regenerative biology.
The AGGRC Articulated Axolotl was created as an engaging outreach tool to highlight biodiversity and regenerative biology. Remixed by Brittany Ratliff at the AGGRC, this 3D-printable model features moving joints and a detailed form inspired by the unique axolotl. It’s used in educational settings to spark interest in science and technology.
