Description
My hyken chairs recline function was getting a bit too soft and easy to push back. I designed these to sit between the tilt arm and the backrest to increase tension and make the back rest harder to push.
The name formats are: BendyV3[Bend Thickness]_[Bend Height].3mf
Bend thickness is the actual thickness of the part. This can make the part stronger but more stiff, which can result in failure. Bend height is the distance from the bottom of the hook, to the top of the bottom arm. Increasing this puts the material more under strain, but if it is thin enough it wont fail.
These iterations are the result of me testing and re-testing everything. I have no empirical data on how much all these increase tension, I've just gone off feel.
These parts mus be printed in PETG for its elastic properties. You'll need to print two of these for the proper setup.
To install, hook one end onto the rear skeleton of the back rest, and screw the other end into the steel plate. The existing chair screws can be used.
