Bobbin winder repair for Singer 211U

This is a two-part model for the NLA bobbin winder traction wheel for Singer 211 machines. It may work for other machines also, but I only have a 211U. 

The larger part is a mould that is used to make a urethane casting (about 10ml of urethane) or you can invert it and print it out of TPU. The solid casting works a little better. This part replaces the nasty material that provided traction for the upper bobbin winder to work. Prior to installing the tyre, you must clean the metal spindle and remove all of the old material. 

The second part is a pin - you need three of these. The pins are pounded into the metal fitting to secure the “tyre” on the metal spindle. I melted them with a soldering iron to get them to stay put. Once you get it assembled and installed, your upper bobbin winder will work again.
