Top loading filament spool holder for Flashforge Adventurer 5M (AD5M)

Update Aug 12, 2025: Added a clip that prevents the spool holder from wobbling when not loaded.

V2: Has arm that can be attached to guide filament and prevent it from unwrapping.

A spool holder for the AD5M that feeds filament from the top, directly into the extruder.

Useful for loading TPU directly into the extruder, bypassing the PTFE tube, which helps with stretching and clogging.

Can be mounted on the front left or right.

• Add supports and print like in screenshot:

Assembly:

• Use an M4*12mm screw with locking washer and nut to attach to printer
• May need to grease arm to insert it into spool holder
• Optionally use the printable clip to secure the side opposite of the screw, preventing some wobble while printing without holding a spool
