USS Dripper – Universal Liquid Transfer Funnel

No space for waste.

The USS Dripper is a two-part funnel designed to make transferring the last remains of thick fluids (like laundry detergent) from one bottle to another easy, clean, and hands-free.

I created it to fit most bottle neck sizes and hold them firmly in a vertical position, so you can connect two bottles and let gravity handle the rest — no need to hold anything.

This is also my first entry in the Detergent Solutions contest

How it works

The funnel consists of two interlocking parts:

• Lower funnel – fits securely in the receiving bottle. It can also be used on its own as a regular funnel.
• Upper holder – slides into the empty (donor) bottle. Its stepped, tapered prongs provide a snug fit for a wide variety of bottle necks, keeping the donor bottle upright and stable.

Once connected, the donor bottle drains over time, allowing every last drop to be saved.

Material recommendations

• Lower funnel: PET-G is ideal for its flexibility and chemical resistance.
• Upper holder: PLA or PLA+ (e.g. eSUN) works well. PET-G can also be used, though a slightly stiffer material improves grip.

Printing & assembly tips

• Print both parts upright; no supports required.
• I used 15% gyroid infill and 2 walls. You can increase the infill density for the bottom 23mm of funnel part for more smooth top surface of the conical segment. 
• Add a brim to the upper part for better bed adhesion if needed.
• Some stringing may occur – clean up with a lighter or heat gun.
• To assemble: insert the upper holder into the funnel and twist until it locks into place.

I slightly widened the wide end of the flexible gripping section on both halves so it fits the Perwoll bottle better.
