Description
The wheelie bin has a working lid that opens and closes smoothly. The two wheels are fully functional and can rotate around their axle.
The wheels, including their axles, are printed together with the bin (print-in-place) to simplify assembly and improve the model’s stability.
Dimensions (x, y, z): 88 x 77 x 158 mm
The STL files are correctly aligned.
The design is not suitable for scaling. The dimensions, layer height and perimeter must remain unchanged. I’ve printed the model several times with PLA and a 0.4 mm nozzle using the parameters below. The wheels may need a bit of post-processing after printing.
Layer height: 0.2mm
Perimeter: 3
Infill: 10%
Brim: yes for bin
Support: The bin requires minimal support, as illustrated in the image below.
Print-in-place wheels and axles are part of the bin. Due to their small contact area, they may detach during the first layers, even with brim and support. To improve adhesion, reduce perimeter and external perimeter speeds to 45 mm/s for the first 10 layers.
