Description
Back in 2015 I've bought Amazon Kindle Fire 7" (aka 5th) for my grandmother.
Unfortunately we had number of issues which I've tried to solve with this stand design.
List of the issues:
Yes design is on the bulky side but that's exactly what I needed. I was in need of something solid and unmissable.
Main design features:
Loop and press fit cable in for permanent fixture, then simply put tablet down on the ledge and with simple sliding movement dock it in. 2. Due to 45degree angle it's rigid on the table when tapping away and provides decent viewing and camera angle when placed on the close side (7" screen isn't arm length preference for older people) 3. Speaker on the left and Mic on the right cutouts to redirect sound from the back to front/side to front. 4. Big enough recess to access power button and separate. 5. 2x part design for ease of portability and printability I guess.
!!!
I believe Amazon have changed design a little on latest models so please feel free to Remix to create newer design iteration. Design file included.
