Description

I buy a cheap chinese cereal box to made a humidity control spool feeder, I search on online model and none of them fit with my box, it is a bit bigger or longer than my box, then I decided to design my own to fit with my box. (The base roller design got idea from this model but I draw all parts new with modification https://www.printables.com/model/1193995-filament-dry-box-no-drilling )

Each roller use one 608 ball bearing push into center of the roller to make it balance, the roller is put into stick between spacer and cap to make it fit in position. I decided to use a bit smaller stick diameter of 8.16mm as default that will not too tight with center column and bearing hole and it will fit in position with the cap on both end. The cap have 2 length for front and rear.

I drill the holes for PTFE connector on front of the box to make the top clear and can be stack with another box, make sure to drill the bottom hole not too low to conflict with the hygrometer or you can drill the holes on top if you want.

The base is design using a slot to insert hygrometer holder with any shape, this will easy to change hygrometer model without reprint the whole base. (however, I provided only 2 type of popular hygrometer, rectangular 48x28mm and round 45mm)

I printed with petg but pla should be use without problem.

Print parameter:

  • 3 walls (2 is enough for Base)
  • 15% infill (30% for stick)
  • Use scaft seam for round object (Except PC4 nut and washer)
  • No supported and brim need

Additional parts:

  1. Cereal box 4L (from Aliexpress:

  2. 608zz or 608rs ball bearing x 4
  3. Hygrometer (Rectangular 48x28mm or Round 45mm)
  4. PC4-M10 connector x 2
  5. PTFE tube 4x2.5mm(recommended) or 4x2mm
  6. PU4 tube connector
  7. Silica gel
