Description
CAUTION:
This print is very sensitive to materials and print settings. If the fit is tight, do NOT force it onto the post and risk damaging your pot control.
It's a small print, so better to tweak settings and try again! Very small resize or hole compensation values are probably the best fix. Infill percent and pattern will also make a difference as to fit.
Another option, if the fit is too loose, is to put a thin wrap of tape on the post itself.
The concept of the “holy” knob is that the five holes are sized to insert pieces of unprinted 1.75mm filament and have it show through the transparent print walls. The effect is not good enough at this point, but I'm still considering it. Meanwhile, the plain/solid model is fine for basic use or remodeling. But, again, CAUTION, do not print it too tight and try to force it in place.
I printed in “transparent” PETG, at 0.20mm layers with 2 walls at 99% infill. At half speed.
With these settings the “holy” knob fit just right and the plain/solid knob was too tight. Every time I reduce the infill to lower numbers the fit is way too loose, with this PETG at least.
Print as oriented, no supports or brims needed.
