🚧 Milo V1.6 – Beta Release

Milo V1.6 is a transitional upgrade that blends the reliable foundation of V1.5 with carefully selected improvements from V2—offering a more capable machine without replacing your entire setup.

This release is perfect for existing V1.5 builders looking to enhance their machine’s performance, usability, and design without the cost and effort of a full V2 rebuild.

🧪 Beta Release Details

This V1.6 release is currently in beta and includes CAD files only. While it’s already a solid step forward, we’re still refining the design for broader compatibility and ease of upgrade. Just like with V2, once we're happy with it, a full release will follow—free and open-source.

🔧 What’s Upgraded in V1.6

New Auto-Adjusting Anti-Backlash Block: Adapted from V2, for improved accuracy and less maintenance.

Updated XY and Z Plates: Enhanced design with better rigidity, tolerances, and ease of assembly.

Redesigned HOIs : Cleaner layout and improved load handling.

Separate Electronics Box (V2 Style): A cleaner, safer, and cooler way to manage your electronics outside the frame.

🔩 What’s Retained from V1.5

To keep upgrades affordable and accessible, V1.6 keeps most of the original hardware:

Frame extrusions

Linear rails and leadscrews

Motors, FMJs, and fasteners

This makes the upgrade path simple and cost-efficient for existing users.
