Description
This project consists of creating an adapter that allows you to extract power from a Festool battery to supply circuits or electronic projects. The base is 3D-printed in plastic and uses two screws to make electrical contact with the battery terminals.
The goal is to make it easy to use a Festool battery as an external power source, especially for testing, portable projects, or repurposing unused batteries.
One Festool battery
Base printed in PETG or another heat- and impact-resistant polymer
2 metal screws for electrical contact
Power cables
Optional connectors (XT60, banana plugs, etc.)
Tools: screwdriver, soldering iron, 3D printer
The base is designed to fit the shape of the Festool battery and provide mechanical stability.
Two metal screws are positioned precisely to contact the + and – terminals of the battery.
The screws are connected to output wires to transmit voltage.
Proper electrical insulation is essential to prevent short circuits.
Space is included to optionally integrate a fuse or switch.
Always check polarity before connecting.
Never short the terminals.
Add protection (fuse or circuit breaker) if the adapter will be used for extended periods.
Use a durable plastic such as PETG, ABS, or PC (polycarbonate) to prevent deformation or weakness.
