Description
This part replaces the metal top and perch of a 4-port hummingbird feeder. The threaded bottom of this feeder's colorful glass bulb is ~1.7 in (~44 mm) diameter; the nectar tray upon which the top sits is ~4.7 in (120mm) diameter.
2025/07/31: The perch is now a little thinner and a further out.
2025/08/14: The base is now drip-proof due to a slightly smaller diameter and a chamfer to seal the gasket.
The original metal part will rust over time, even in Southern California's relatively dry climate.
The feeding ports are 7.825 mm diameter, which fit the commercially available yellow bee guards shown in one of the photos. While these guards do prevent bees from getting into the feeders, they also prevent orioles and warblers from feeding too.
The parts were printed in PETG at 0.2mm structural and default slicer settings. Supports are needed.
