Description

Simple pedal enclosure designed to fit an AB or AB-Y switching circuit. Designed to fit two LEDs to indicate which input/output is being used. The circuit itself is passive. I recommend the use of the circuits at General Gadgets websites for the actual wiring diagram.

A design for a fun “THE WHY” inlay is included if your printer has the ability to print multiple colors or you know a way to print the inlay into the design. I did this by printing the inlay in one file, followed by printing the second file over the top using the z-hop setting in Cura. I used a method similar to the one covered by CHEP in the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sla-vIsvh4

Print Instructions

My recommended print settings are:

  • The inlay is designed for a 0.3mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle. This will result in evenly printed lines, exactly two layers thick.
  • If you're not printing the inlay, any layer thickness will likely work just fine.
  • Recommended you print the enclosure face down so supports will likely not be needed.
  • Depending on the overhang capabilities of printer / slicing software you may want to add small supports for the countersunk holes in the ‘bottom’ component.

Assembly

4 x M3 screws will secure the bottom to the enclosure securely.
