Description
Extra Strong Bicycle hangers. Designed to work on a Trolley Rail.
I designed the hooks, to evenly distribute contact pressure on most bike rims internal surface. I tested multiple design variations in angles, rotations and size of shapes. I also tested various bed placements, with and without support.
This FINAL design and print orientation resulted in the greatest strength.
For added strength, set sparse infill density to ≥ 35% and increase walls.
For structural integrity and strength, the hook MUST be printed flat on the hex nut side side (see attached, screen capture).
Convert holes to polyholes, for thread integrity, and set Top Z distance to 0.26
Print with normal support.
NOTE: Using 35% tri-hexagon sparse infill, using PETG tested maximum lift capacity, exceeded 105 lbs.
Hook Thread size is ½ - 14 UNS.
