Prusa XL Print Fan Upgrade – Using Core/MK4S Print Fan Blower

This upgrade replaces the stock print fan on the Prusa XL with the high-performance fan used on the Prusa Core/MK4S printers. You’ll need the official Prusa Print Fan Blower:

What You’ll Need:

1x Prusa Print Fan Blower (MK4/Core type)

Basic tools (e.g., screwdriver)

This printed fan mount upgrade

A few minutes of your time

Installation Instructions:

Prepare the New Fan
Carefully remove the top plastic cover from the new MK4/Core fan.

The fan should look like this after modification:

Remove Stock Components

Remove the original Prusa XL print fan

Remove the fan shroud

Install the Upgrade

Fit the new fan (with top cover removed) into this printed upgrade

Mount it in place of the original fan setup

Reconnect wiring as it was (no changes needed to electronics)

Notes:

No firmware or software changes are required.

This upgrade improves cooling performance with minimal effort.
