Description
Prusa Core One Dual PTFE path from right side panel, one to original Nextruder , one usable for feeding to the MMU3
I wanted to use the right side spool holder also for MMU3 feeding.
A ball bearing spool holder is now available, all parts are also usable for the automatic rewind type.
The automatic spool rewind holder for this arrangement is available now.
After testing many variations for a second PTFE tubing run inside the housing from the right spool to the top of the printer, this version turned out to be the best.
It uses a modified version of the right side handle from bullit168 to cover and guide the PTFE tube to the upper right corner of the panel.
Note: This modification requires some manual dexterity. Perform at your own risk.
The right-hand panel needs to be modified. In fact, an 8 mm hole needs to be drilled in the upper right corner of the panel.
Additonal material needed:
rubber grommet 4mm ID (recommended)
two PC4-M10 coupler ‘PTFE push through’ (standard M10x1.5 thread)
Printing recommendations:
PETG filament, 0.4 nozzle, 0.2 structural, 3 perimeters, 20% infill gyroid, no supports
Modification to the panel:
In the picture below you can see the upper right corner of the right side panel (spool side).
The red part is the right end of the handle with the PTFE path visible. Drill a 8mm hole, centered at 6mm from the top edge and 6mm from the left corner.
Recommended PTFE path:
Push the PTFE tube from the top right back down along the nextuder cable and then through the hole (which you drilled before) into hole of the handle up to the stop.
You can use a bracket to fix the tube to the cable.
Put the rubber grommet into the drilled hole for PTFE tube protection and fixation
Use the original core one kit assembling description to remove and assemble the side panel.
