Description
This is a custom-designed Y-splitter for the Ubbink Air Excellent 90 mm ventilation system. I created this part to split a single 90 mm duct into two separate ducts, allowing me to distribute the airflow more evenly across two outlets in a bedroom.
By using this splitter, I was able to reduce airflow noise in the room and improve the efficiency and comfort of my WTW (heat recovery ventilation) system. The result is quieter operation and better air distribution – especially useful in rooms where a single outlet creates noticeable airflow or noise.
The splitter was printed using standard PLA and fits tightly onto the flexible ducts of the Ubbink Air Excellent system. I recommend using duct tape or hose clamps for a secure seal, especially if there’s pressure in the system.
Features:
Fits Ubbink Air Excellent 90 mm ducts
Smooth internal curves for optimized airflow
Reduces noise by splitting airflow to two outlets
Printable on standard 3D printers with no supports (depending on orientation)
Print Settings:
Material: PLA or PETG
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 20–30%
No supports required (if printed upright with a brim)
Note:
This is a functional design that worked well in my installation, but dimensions may vary depending on your specific duct system or 3D printer tolerances. You may need to slightly scale or sand the part for a perfect fit.
Let me know if you'd like to see a version with a different angle or size – happy to share improvements!
