Description
Like so many others, I picked up the CFS upgrade kit for my K1 Max. However, having the long USB dongle hanging out of the front of the printer wasn't my favorite look. This lets you relocate the existing port to the rear of the printer with some pretty minor trimming/cutting.
A jig to use to mark where you will cut is included. I used a small blade to trace the hole. Then I drilled out the center, used a Dremel with a drill bit to get the shape close and then finished with some small files. Some slightly shorter M3 screws or a couple washers under the existing screws for the USB port to the relocation bracket are needed.
I didn't design a plug for the front of the printer since @firepower has already made one that works excellent.
PLA is totally fine for the jig. It is probably adequate for the port relocation too but I printed my final in PETG.
