Description
When you find a nice STL object, but unfortunately it doesn't have any holes to hang on the wall.
1. Load your STL object to slicer (prusaslicer, orcaslicer, bambu studio etc).
ups! It cannot be hanged on wall! no holes on back!
2. right-click on it, select “add negative part”
3. select this .stl hook-hole
4. (when this negative part is selected still) celect "move" tool from toolbox
5. edit coordinates (they are relative to main object, so value=0 means in center of main object). Eg. X=0, Y=80 in my case
(yes, negative object is nearly invisible in this situation, is overlapping with main object)
6. Slice - and you have nice hole for screw :)
The shape of the hole is designed to be easy to print - no supports are needed, there is a sloping top inside, leading to a narrow peak, which should print without any problems without support.
Screw up to 5mm in diameter should fit, with head up to 18mm in diameter -
