Description
To fit properly on an M33 pickup of a woodturning lathe the tool should leave sufficient depth for the 9 mm deep 34 mm diameter report. This condition is not always fulfilled, in particular on tools sold via AliExpress, like this one, in which I found the depth of the report to be only ¼". Therefore the faceplate was stopped by the internal thread of the pickup colliding with the report on the spindle. Using it as it is would damage the lathe spindle.
I therefore made a ring that will hopefully provide sufficient clearance. It has a rim covering part of the outside of the flange so I can fit it on the faceplate permanently with tape or glue.
I printed my 4 mm thick ring in PETG with 10 layers bottom and 10 layers top, 20 total so no infill.
