Hi! Here's my submission for the “Can Contest” – a concept I designed to keep your can cold for as long as possible.
I wasn’t able to 3D print the final version yet — I started a bit late and my printer is on the slower side — so please keep that in mind when reviewing the concept.
The idea:
Designed for hot summer BBQ days, this can holder actively cools your drink using a simple but effective water-and-ice system.
- A removable bottom lid holds an ice cube(s). Add water up to the brim and screw it into the can-base.
- A system of internal drainage channels connects the bottom section to the double-walled sides of the can holder.
- Using the filler cone, pour water into the outer walls from the top. The water flows down and comes into contact with the ice cube via the internal channels, creating a cooling circulation effect.
- Optional colored rings (up to three) let you customize your can holder and make it easy to identify during group gatherings.
- With this setup, your can is surrounded by chilled walls that stay cool longer — keeping your drink refreshingly cold in the sun. ❄🍺
