Description

This is a 3d printed adapter to attach the Thrustmaster Viper TQS throttle to the Wheel Stand Pro desk.

You need:

  • the 2 3d printed parts
  • some bolts or screws, nuts and washers
  • some adhesive pads

The new Thrustmaster Viper TQS throttle has five threaded holes underneath that I guess are needed to bolt the throttle to some dedicated clamp or so; unfortunately those holes do not match with the ones in my Wheel Stand Pro desk (I have the one you can see in the first picture).

This adapter, already divided in two parts so that you can print it on a regular MK4S or Core One printer, serves as an interface between the holes under the throttle and those in the desk.

First bolt the adapter under the throttle with four bolts or screws: a notch and a groove help to align the two halves of the adapter. The adaprter has recesses so that the heads of the screws remain aligned with the underside surface of the adapter, as it will be put on the desk. You can also use some adhesive pads on the other side of the adapter, as shown in the 3rd picture, so that the two parts do not bend towards the middle of the throttle base when screwed.

Then bolt the new base of the throttle, now made up of the adapter, on the Wheel Stand Pro desk. Do it with appropriate bolts (or screws), nuts and washers.

In the 3rd picture you can see the whole assembly.

The adapter is printed in Prusament PETG jet black with default 0,2 mm STRUCTURAL profile on a Prusa Core One printer. The already made g-codes are also provided.

The Autodesk Fusion project is also available, so that you can possibly modify the position and diameter of the adapter-to-desk holes if you own a different Wheel Stand Pro desk.

Happy printing and clear skies.
