Description
This baseplate is split into two parts which can be glued together and a CR2016 battery (super thin) can be slid inside. The baseplate is designed so that a bit of pressure applied to the baseplate will bridge the connection and turn on the LED. For printing you'll want to print at 0.08mm or lower.
To wire this up I sacrificed the legs from an LED and glued them into the baseplate. There is a small groove in the plate were these contacts can sit and be super glued into place. Once that glue has set you can do a quick test with a battery then remove the battery and glue the bottom into place. Now the battery should be able to slide in.
For wiring I used a wire wrapping tool like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Function-Single-Stranded-Winding-Service-Applications/dp/B099774BXW/142-5142247-2880352 and wrapping wire and then just standard LEDs. I definitely could have cleaned it up a bit more but unless you zoom in very close it's hard to see. The wires can be painted to look like spell effects or magical energy just be careful not to paint the LED!
The character is based on BriteMinis design of Nezznar found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4326929
I remixed him to be 32mm in height here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7073338
