Print in Place Magnetic Case for Nintendo Switch Game Cartridges and SD Cards

This is a print in place case with magnetic closing to store small items. The design uses an optionally printed inlay tray that holds Nintendo Switch game catridges and SD cards.

Bill of Material (BOM)

You will need some magnets for the magnetic closing. 4 magnets are used for 1 case.

• 4x - 3x3mm cylindrical magnets

Variants

There are three variants of the print in place case. Choose either one to print.

• Case with a Nintendo Switch Icon engraved on the top front
• Case with no engravings
• Case with fuzzy skin (.3mf)

For the Inlay there are two variants:

• Inlay with 3 slots to hold Nintendo Switch game cartridges
• Inlay with 3 slots to hold Standard SD Cards

Instructions

Print the case and the inlay with the default orientation. The inlay can be printed separately with a different color.

Tip: After printing the case you have to close and open it several times to smoothen the latch with friction.

Next insert the inlay in the lower part (!) of the case where the hinges are attached. The tolerance is very tight. You have to evenly push or evenly bump it into place. No glue is required.

After that the 3x3mm magnets are to be inserted in the holes.

Important: Mind the orientation of the magnets! 

Do note that the tolerance is designed to be very tight. You have to really push the magnets in using any flat metal object. No glue is required.

• Perimeters: 2 (can also do 3)
• Layer height: 0.2mm
