Description
Simple jig for drilling holes for 5mm shelf pins in cupboards. Uses M6 nuts as the bushing which are easy to source and are a good fit for a 5mm drill bit.
Admittedly my print is not of the best quality - was using up some poor PLA filament but it is a tool not a decorative object :-) PLA should work fine though PETG would probably be a better choice but as is not likely to be a heavily used jig PLA will probably be fine
I printed using orcaslicer defaults as a proof of concept but has been working fine - I would suggest printing with 4 or 5 outer layers and 50% infill
I ended up printing the pins at 97% as they fitted a little less ‘snugly’ but is a quick / small print so suggest you try one and adjust appropriately
Requires 7 x m6 nuts which should just tap in with a hammer. I have included a test hole so you can check if your nuts fit before committing to a 9.5hr print only to find they don't ;-)
