Coquun Table Lamp - Bambu Labs LED Kit Compatible

This sculptural table lamp has been designed from the ground up with 3D printing in mind. 

"Coquun" is an indigenous Australian word, specifically from the Wonnarua language, meaning "fresh water". It was one of the original names given to the Hunter River by the traditional custodians of the land, the Wonnarua people.

The subtle curves of the lamp are inspired by the bends and twists of the Hunter River which weaves through the areas surrounding me. 

Printing and Assembly

The lamp shown in photos was printed at 0.2mm layer heights using a 0.4mm Nozzle. It should print well with larger nozzles, although the crisp edges on the flutes may become more rounded. 

The shade must be printed in spiral mode or vase mode. I printed with 4 bottom layers and 0.6mm line width and had great results. There is no requirement for supports, and the best orientation will be vertically to match the finished product. 

Assembly is shown in the photos, it is a simple friction fit, allowing the lamp to be customisable or serviceable if a component is damaged. 

Required Parts

The only required parts for this lamp are a Bambu Labs LED Lamp 001 Kit or LED tealight. I used an aliexpress version ($2AUD per LED!). I suggest checking the diameter of the hole matches your LED before printing. There is a slot underneath the LED to allow you to route the cable out the bottom of the lamp, and help hold the LED in place. 

I placed some cupboard stoppers on the underside of mine as an easy foot option.
