Description
I made this for an other project of mine, where I needed to take measurments of the inner bottom diameter of some conical flowerparts.
Just use this device for grabbing dimensions, so that you can hold the caliper on a ruler to get the correct measurements.
Works realy great using round 10mm magnets. The pockets for the magnets are 6mm deep, so you can optional stack several magnets on top of each other to gain force between the arms. I used two 10x2mm magnets for each arm, which works realy well. Two 10x3mm Magnets would fit as well if you like, or three 10x2mm magnets…
For pressing in the magnets, please place the arms on a flat surface, like a table. They should go in a little hard and stay in place without using any glue.
When placing the magnets in the second arm, please look out for their correct orientation, so that both arms pull together !
Thankyou @rynn for providing your model !
