Description
Sturdiest and most reliable bike phone mount I have ever seen, and I made it!
For this model you will need some M5 nuts and bolts! 4X M5x25 flat head and 4 more or 4x M5x20(15) and 8 M5 nuts.
Preferred materials: PETG/PET/ASA/ABS/PA12
TPU part can be printed or you can use a rubbery tape instead to have a better grip on the stem.
All parts are precisely cut and made to make printing as easy as possible and to be as sturdy as possible. I recommend 3 walls and 15-25% infill with organic aka tree supports for holes. Orient parts in a way so that only supports form on holes. The main screw aka adjusting screw is made to be printed flat without supports and if tolerances do not fit your machine, you can scale it down by a tiny bit tor just use grease. That part should rotate and have a bit of resistance.
Print 2 pins and glue them in shorter part of the mount aka the sliding part!
Assembly is easy:
Look at photos for reference:
All nuts can be pressed or glued in depending on your printer's capabilities, glue is just to prevent falling out before assembly. Assemble top bracket and phone mount main body by fastening 4 longer screws. You can also put some glue on the interface, that is a permanent assembly.
Remember 2 pins and a shorter part of the mount? Insert them in the main mount sideways, use grease or adjust tolerances in slicer. Then add a screw through the main hole and the main part is done.
Print 2 TPU liners or apply some rubbery tape to inner surfaces of the brackets.
With 4 screws attach the bottom bracket to the stem and use 4 nuts as retainers.
Put your phone in and apply some pressure with the screw on it!
YOU ARE DONE! ENJOY!
