Description
A smaller fishing lure with a pretty unique action that works for bass, pike, panfish, trout, and salmon. The supports are already designed in so this is a quick print. Use wire or heavy fishing line to attach your hook(s). Separate 3D lure eyes are included that can be scaled with any lure.
The Drunken Sticklebacks unique action comes from the cupped nose that gives it a really nice wobble or rolling action (like its drunk) similar to a Rapala Scatter Rap minnow.
Printing:
Use 3 perimeters (minimum) to make it water tight, and adjust your infill for floating or sinking (deeper diving). I use Honeycomb infill for the lure to give it strength, about 10-15% infill will allow it to float and keep the action fast.
I have also included some 3D printable eyes for this lure. Layer height for the eyes should be 0.2mm or less. If you rescale the lure to make it smaller or larger, just rescale the eyes the same amount. Use TPU, PLA, PETG, etc.
Assembly:
Wire - Bend your wire to size and slide it through the lure, 0.8mm works well. Use epoxy or UV resin on the ends and in the bottom cutout to lock it in place.
Monofilament - Fishing line like 25 or 30lb test can be used the same way. You might want to put some single knots on the ends of the line and tuck them down inside the cutout before you add your epoxy/resin.
Check out my other lure with great action - The Ugly Smelt
Have a good day and good luck fishing.
