Description
I spent too much time modeling this not to share it. I'm pleased with how it came out, but if you want to modify it because you don't like some aspect, I've included the Fusion360 F3D file and STEP files in addition to my 3MF here.
Printed with support, as shown @0.2 mm layer height in PLA on my H2D and also my A1 mini. Note that if you want a little extra insert friction for the case, you can add some thin strips of foam to the side rails to make it snug-fit on insertion. This may also help you open the case in-place easily with one hand if you want.
The thing many people might want to adjust is the width/depth of the tape strip depressions, so I favorited those parameters, and if you're downloading this on Makerworld, you should be able to use the customizer to customize them.
A note on balance: The center of gravity of the case and items in it will hold it in place but depending on what's in the case one orientation might be slightly more stable than the other.. in both cases the front lip is plenty long enough to keep it from falling even if it is top heavy as it is designed to have the top hit the wall and wedge before it slips out of the holder :). I thought of making a horizontally-oriented case originally but realized that would be much more cumbersome and require more material in all likelihood, so I opted for vertical.
